John Shea

John brings his hands-on approach to every project. He looks far beyond immediate challenges and ensures durability, longevity, client needs, and long term maintenance are all considered in the approach. Assessing the full picture allows for the most proactive approach, and the best result. He challenges his team to do the same, and demonstrates day in and day out that proactive, consistent communication is the key to project success.

His interest in building began in high school when he excelled in a woodshop course. From that point on, he was always building something. He worked for several general contractors and did odd jobs throughout high school, then attended Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Construction Engineering in 2004. Since then, he has worked for Shawmut Design and Construction, Suffolk Construction, Martin Construction, and now co-leads the GAGE team.

John lives in Marshfield with his wife Sarah, son Jack, and daughter Josie. On the weekends you can find him (still) doing construction, whether it is for work, building something for a friend, helping out around town, or working on his own house.
